This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website, for what purposes and on what legal basis, and which rights you have. The German version is legally binding.

2. Hosting

This website is operated by an external hosting provider. Personal data collected when you visit the website is processed on its servers. We use the hosting provider on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and efficiently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

3. Server log files

When you access the website, the server automatically records information transmitted by your browser. This includes:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • page or file accessed
  • referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • browser and operating system used

We need this data to provide the website without technical errors and to ensure its security, for example to fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is not combined with other data sources and is deleted automatically after a short period, unless longer retention is required to investigate a specific security incident.

4. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar. Data you send to us, for example via the contact form, cannot be read by third parties.

5. Contact form and contact by email or phone

If you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we process the data you provide: first name, last name, phone number, email address, the selected topic and your message. The details are sent to us by email. The same applies if you contact us directly by email or phone.

We use this data exclusively to handle your enquiry and to get in touch with you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We keep the data until the purpose of storage no longer applies, for example once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, or until you ask us to delete it. Statutory retention obligations, in particular under commercial and tax law, remain unaffected. The data is not passed on to third parties.

6. Cookies, analytics and external services

This website does not use analytics, tracking or marketing cookies. We do not use web analytics services such as Google Analytics or any advertising services. Fonts are loaded locally from our server; no content from external providers such as Google Fonts, YouTube or map services is embedded.

Technically necessary cookies may only be set in the protected administration area of the website, i.e. when editors log in. This does not affect visitors to the website.

7. Links to social networks

Our website links to our profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. These are simple links, not embedded plugins, so no data is transferred to these networks when you visit our website. Only when you click a link are you taken to the provider’s website, where its own privacy policy applies.

8. Your rights

Within the scope of the statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
